Wow, I managed to consume hours of my day and for several weeks asking, begging pleading for anyone I could find to vote for me. I know vote for what you ask. well you are clearly luckier than most since you were not burdened with a text,email or Facebook message at all hours of the night. I was in the Walmart Get on the Shelf with over 4,000 other people and had a small chance in heck to ever win but it was about hoping to get noticed. Walmart asked companies, inventors and anyone with an idea that could whip up a product to send a video and let America vote to make it to the next round of voting that would then decide who would be chosen to pitch to Walmart. I mean really what was I thinking 4,000 people with some great products and big companies and only one would be chosen. I did manage to virtually meet some great people that were all looking to catch a break from Walmart or maybe another company that would contact them about there product. We inventors, creators and idea makers are consumed with getting noticed, not for bragging rights but we all believe we have a great product or service and we all want the world to know it. Not so someone can remember our name but so that someone can enjoy, use and love what we have made. With the Walmart Get on the Shelf contest I realized there are so many other people just like me and I just may not be crazy as fox trying to make my dreams come true. The last several weeks I have neglected meal time, my blog and the much loved videos so thank goodness I can get back to the fun part of life and stop stressing if everyone I know or meet in a parking lot can text a vote for me. For those that did vote or that I bugged daily Thank you for putting up with my passion and get some rest until the next contest comes a long. XO
